Local Historical Background
Hardecourt is located in the central heart of the Somme Battlefields, within a three mile radius of Chavasse Farm are many of the infamous sites of the bitter fighting ranging from September 1914 through to September 1918. There are many memorials and cemeteries, some within walking distance. Each cottage has local guide books, tourist information and eight local self guided walks.
